Bowers & Wilkins ·In-Room Tuning

Positioned, tuned, and measured — never just installed.

Even the finest loudspeaker is only as good as its setup in your room. Every Bowers & Wilkins system we install is positioned, toed-in, tuned, and measured in-room — never dropped in place and left. Calibration is where good speakers become a great-sounding home.

Capabilities

What Calibrated delivers

Precise placement

Position and toe-in set to your room's geometry and your listening seat, where imaging and tonal balance actually come together.

Acoustic measurement

We measure the room's response rather than trusting ears alone, then correct the issues the room itself introduces.

Room correction

Targeted EQ and room correction smooth peaks and nulls so the sound is even across the seats.

Level & distance setting

Every channel matched in level and time so the soundstage locks into focus.

Acoustic treatment

Where a room needs it, we add discreet treatment to tame reflections and bass problems at the source.

Verified results

We show you the before-and-after measurements — calibration you can see as well as hear.

The room is half the system

Speakers don't play in a vacuum — they play in your room, and the room imposes its own peaks, nulls, and reflections on everything you hear. Ignore that and even reference speakers sound ordinary.

Calibration corrects for the room. It's the step that turns expensive hardware into a genuinely great-sounding space, and it's standard on every system we deliver.

Bowers & Wilkins Calibrated

Measured, not guessed

We use acoustic measurement to see exactly what the room is doing, then position, treat, and tune to fix it — levels, distances, crossovers, and room correction, all verified by data.

The payoff is consistency: the same accurate, immersive sound every time you sit down, whether for a record or a film.

Questions

Good to know

Is calibration really necessary?+

Yes. The room shapes everything you hear. Without calibration, even the best speakers underperform. We include it on every system we install.

Can you calibrate speakers I already own?+

Often, yes. If your speakers are well-suited to the room, we can position, treat, and tune them to get far more from what you have.

Will you add acoustic panels everywhere?+

No — we treat only what the measurements show needs treating, and we keep it discreet. Often the bigger gains come from placement and room correction.
